I am planning to visit New Zealand. I have Australian residency. Will I get New Zealand residency on arrival? Does it still work?

Yes, if you are a holder of Australian residency visa or have Australian citizenship then you will get residency of New Zealand on arrival. The following information was taken here:

Australian citizens and permanent residents can visit, study, work and live in New Zealand. You won’t need to apply for a visa before travelling and can be granted a New Zealand resident visa when you arrive – as long as you meet our character and entry permission requirements when you get here.
